Balkan Mountain

The Balkan Mountain Range is the eastern part of the Balkan Peninsula in South Eastern Europe or as we call it here in Bulgaria Stara Planina.

Stara Planina is the longest in Bulgaria spreading from the Black Sea on the East all the way to our border with Serbia on the West. This is a mountain with significant historical value to Bulgaria and arguably for the whole of Europe at various periods in the past, where you may find many historical monuments defining our Bulgarian culture, past and future.

Stara Planina is not the tallest with the highest peak Botev at 2376 meters. Despite that, it gives opportunities for various outdoor activities such as country trail running, free gliding, offroading, fishing and many more outdoor activities.

In fact, this is the mountain where I was born and I can talk forever for its caves, rocks, food, people and a lot more things. Just come and visit or let us know what you would like to know more about Stara Planina.

Thank you and have a wonderful time wherever you are. Yours Truly Slavimir Mladenov
