I had the pleasure of spending most of my winter holiday time in the Bulgarian Mountains enjoying everything they have to offer during the winter. However, I secretly planned my summer holiday in the deep blue sea, more to follow. Please stay tuned for the summer updates or feel free to ask for more information.
Now I would like to share a few things everyone needs to know and understand before visiting Bulgarian Mountains for hiking, winter sports or any other activity high at altitude.
Firstly, our mountains are extremely beautiful with phenomenal views, however, given global warming, poor business development outside the main tourist centres, combined with irresponsible Bulgarian politics towards maintaining their safety, they are unpredictable, dangerous, and hostile. Therefore, to enjoy their beauty, and superb nature views and have a wonderful time you must be equipped, experienced, and prepared with the knowledge or guided by an alpine tour guide, which will give you the ultimate experience from the Bulgarian Mountains Peaks.
Hope my personal gallery will convince you to visit Bulgaria during the winter where you may enjoy great high-altitude hiking, winter sports, great food, and a lot more entertainment should you choose Bulgaria and the Balkans for your winter holiday.
